Jes has written a text on Alberto Burri’s Grande Cretto (1985-2015) – one of the world’s biggest land art pieces installed on the site of a Sicilian town after it was destroyed by an earthquake in 1968. The work takes the footprint of the original town; huge ’cracks’ in the structure replicate the street layout.
